Our secluded fly-in fishing lodge is located on a ¼ mile beach 50 yards into the Canadian forest of Manitoba.  All guest rooms have both inside and outside access making it easy to head out fishing each morning.  Your Manitoba fly-in fishing experience begins each morning with breakfast where we help plan your day of hunting trophy Northern Pike and trophy Walleye fishing.  After 40 years, we know the best fishing tips and best spots to send you to make the perfect cast for that trophy Northern Pike or Walleye.  We also furnish high resolution maps of the area, marked with Walleye and Northern Pike specific fishing locations.

Breakfasts consist of omelets, eggs Benedict, breakfast skillets, pancakes or french toast plus bacon, sausage or ham and we never forget the juice and coffee! If there is a breakfast meal (or lunch or dinner) you’re craving, our staff will go above and beyond to make it happen.  Also, if you have any dietary restrictions, such as pork or shellfish products, nuts, dairy, etc., we are happy to accommodate you.  Just please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements to customize your meals to fit your needs.

After filling up on breakfast, your Manitoba fly-in fishing experience begins as you make your way through the Canadian wilderness to the beach to find your 16′ wide-body Lund boat installed with swivel seats with back rests, landing nets, stringers and boat cushions.  Your boat is also equipped with a 15HP Yamaha 4-stroke outboard tied to the dock awaiting your arrival.  With your ice-downed beverage cooler already stowed and outboard warmed up you are ready to hunt down those trophy Northern Pike and Walleye.

Shore lunch on the Cobham is done to maximize your time on the water, unlike at other fishing lodges where you lose an hour or more of precious fishing time waiting for shore lunch to be prepared. Here, we begin your full service Canadian shore lunch while you fish.  At 11 am each day using fresh Walleye we prepare your delicious shore lunch on our custom woks over an open fire so it is timed for your noon arrival.

Our staff will prepare the shore lunch each day with special seasonings and unique batter mixes. Have a special request? Remember, just ask! Our staff is here to make your Canadian fishing experience one you’ll never forget.  Before you depart from your daily shore lunch, our staff will take your morning catch back to the lodge for processing.

Upon your return to the lodge after a full day of Canada fishing, you will be greeted at the dock by our helpful staff who will assist you with your fishing gear.  Guests use this time to relax on our Canadian handmade furniture made of native pine while watching their favorite baseball or NFL pre-season game on our flat screen TV with 300+ channels.  Some guests use this time to catch up back home with our free, high-speed internet and free phone calls.  While you are enjoying your evening appetizers, your boat will be cleaned and refueled so it is ready if you choose to chase a trophy Canadian Northern Pike or Walleye after your evening meal.

Dinner is served at 7 pm. Meals at the Lodge, what can I say! Our departing guests say it best, “I am not eating for a week when I get home”, and “I must have gained 10 pounds.” The menu at the lodge consists of a soup and salad bar, with main entrees including ham, pork roasts, beef roasts, steak, turkey, ribs and many original recipes. Don’t forget the desserts, homemade bread, pies, and other selections.

After dinner the guests gather around the large native rock fireplace, or venture onto the large screened in deck and talk about the big one that got away or (hopefully) the one they landed, play cards, or resume watching their favorite team on satellite TV.  For that avid fisherman who still wants more Canadian fishing your boat is waiting, just be back before the Northern Lights!

Being on a river system, guides are not required. However, if you desire a Canadian guide they are available at the Lodge and only with advance notice. The guiding is charged in addition to your trip at the average going rate.

Fresh linens are included as part of the daily housekeeping service.

All guests are given directions on how to call the Lodge directly so family members can contact them in case of an emergency.

We have a policy at the Lodge that if you have a minimum of 12 guests in your party we will reserve the entire Lodge for your group only.  This makes us a great choice for both your group’s privacy and/or business-related retreats.
